We love the Quad Cities. Since 1961 it has been our home. Even though over 40 years have elapsed from the time we first broke ground for our Milan facility, we have remained a locally owned and operated bank, committed to the growth and well being of this area and the people who make it so special.
On January 1, 2008, Blackhawk State Bank is oficially changing our name to Blackhawk Bank & Trust to reflect the addition of our new Trust Department. Only the name has changed. Our bank has been a local success story. From our roots in Milan we have expanded into Rock Island, Coal Valley, Moline, Geneseo and most recently into Silvis and Colona. From those locations we serve the residents of Rock Island, Henry and Mercer Counties in Illinois and eastern Scott County in Iowa. And, each time we have poured the footings for a new facility into the earth of another community, we have renewed the pledge we made back in 1961:
